30-year-old man seriously injured after being struck by car in Galway

The collision occurred at about 1.40am this morning.

A 30-YEAR-OLD man is in a serious condition after being struck by a car in Co Galway in the early hours of this morning.

The incident happened at Bushypark on the Moycullen Road at about 1.40am this morning.

The man was taken from the scene to University College Hospital Galway, where his condition is described as critical.

The road remains closed and local diversions are in place, with Garda forensic collision investigators currently at the scene.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact them at Galway Garda Station on 091 538000, on the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111, or at any Garda Station.

    At 12:30 am last night I passed a man thumbing a lift on that road, he was dressed all in black and very hard to see, he displayed visual disappointment when I didn’t stop for him – I’ll check my dash-cam video.

    What’s the point of that observation, do you u think it was him, because you are creating a bad image on a very wild assumption based on a person you drove past an hour earlier on a very busy road, should check the Dashcam first before any allegations that can’t be unread

    @John Walsh: Listen mister…I viewed my dashcam and spoke to the Guards – they want to see the video, the description fits. My assumption is very valid – it was a totally empty fast rural road, but not “very busy” at the time at all. He was the only person on that road for miles, at the right spot, all dressed in black…

    What do you get out of being nasty on the internet? Does it make you feel like a “big” man…while hiding behind your keyboard?
