Missing Wexford teenager found safe and well

The 16-year-old had last been seen on Wednesday, sparking a garda appeal for information about his location.

A TEENAGER WHO went missing from Co Wexford earlier in the week has been located safe and well, according to gardaí.

An appeal was issued after 16-year-old Carl McGuinness went missing from the New Ross area on Wednesday afternoon.

Today, gardaí said he had been located and thanked the public for their assistance in the matter.

Should the parents pay for the police work?

No, why would they do that? Then we could have wealthy kids have the police search for them and the ones with no money could stay lost!

If he’s a runaway, wasting valuable Garda time, then yes his parents should. That’d teach parents to discipline their children properly.

To be fair, we all pay taxes so essentially yes the parents are paying for the service. And teen runaways are rarely about discipline issues and more about their emotional state.
