Oscar Pistorius brought to hospital complaining of 'chest pains'

Pistorius is serving six years for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

JAILED PARALYMPIAN OSCAR Pistorius was taken to hospital for overnight observation, an official said, as local media reported he was suffering chest pains.

Pistorius, 30, is serving a six-year jail term for murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, a model and law graduate, in his Pretoria house in 2013.

The ‘Blade Runner’, as he was known, has always maintained that he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder when he fired four high-calibre bullets through a locked toilet cubicle.

“This morning he went for a medical examination and he was scheduled to return back, but he will now be kept overnight for observation,” Logan Maistry, spokesman for the department of correctional services, told AFP.

Maistry added that the department would not release details on Pistorius’s medical condition.

The News24 website said Pistorius was taken from Atteridgeville prison in Pretoria to hospital in an ambulance after complaining of chest pains.

The year before he killed Steenkamp, Pistorius became the first double-amputee to race at Olympic level when he appeared at the London 2012 games.

While on parole he gave a television interview saying that an “instant fear” drove him to open fire.

After nearly 20 years on the missing list, along with a lot of other names, please may the families be given closure as to where their loved ones are.
It must be the worst thing imaginable, the not knowing what happened to them. You would go through all sorts of scenarios in your head and possibly drive yourself to edge of madness. These family members have a lot more resolve than I think I would have in myself! I hope this case is closed soon.

Who’s working a ‘late shift’ at 330 am on the weekend in the bank?? I’m no detective but looks like trevor knows the guy he’s talking to outside office building. I reckon the co worker inside the bank who he had the ‘coffee’ with could probably shed alot of light on this mystery .

@Brianto: ….it wasn’t a bank, it was an office for the bank that looked after IT. 24hr operation shift work dealing with backups and International clients. It also wasn’t a weekend, it was a Thursday.. and it was also 200m away from the building the entire office were having their Christmas party in. On the night there was a taxi strike and it was absoutely bucketing, so nothing unusual about popping in for an umbrella since he had to walk past it to get home anyway!

@Brianto: Have you let the Gardaí know about this breakthrough in the investigation you have made?

As you said yourself, you’re no detective, maybe let the investigation up to the experts.
