Swimming ban in place at Dublin beach over animal contamination

The results of a routine sample showed a deterioration in the water quality.

A SWIMMING BAN has been put in place at Balcarrick beach in Donabate, north Dublin.

Fingal County Council issued the temporary notice after the results of a routine sample showed a deterioration in the water quality.

It’s believed the contamination has been caused by animals and birds.

The HSE has asked people to stay out of the water until further tests show the quality has improved.

Another sample was taken today and sent for testing with the results due on Monday.

The beach is still open to the public but people are being asked to respect the notice.

When I turned 30 it seemed people around me were more panicked than I was….”get married, have kids, settle down, retire, die….well that thought of that scares me. Don’t be afraid to do what you want to do in life. You don’t need to go with the flow.

That was my 1/2 way to 70 celebration. I’m still the wrong side of 40. I’m so looking forward to my 40s I’m told that’s when life begins!

The only difference I noticed as soon as I hit 30 was physical ones, fine (sleep) lines appeared around my eyes, nose and mouth. I started to look older (I was asked for ID up until I was 28).

Mentally I’ve got younger rather than older. As a teen I had an old head on young shoulders.

Most people over 30 are still no older than 30 in their own head so don’t sweat it you have until you drop dead to figure it all out

Turning 30 is fine. It’s when you turn 31 and realise that you are now a thirty-something that the panic sets in!
