Pictures: Parts of Ireland were a little snowed under today

Ireland and Northern Ireland got a dousing of snow thanks to Storm Caroline last night.

TODAY, IRELAND WOKE up to a dusting of snow on its rooftops, roads and fields, that is really helping to instill that festive spirit in all of us.

As forecast by Met Éireann, temperatures plummeted overnight and are predicted to stay frosty over the weekend.

Today, a Status Orange weather warning was announced for 17 counties, which is expected to bring a significant amount of snowfall on Saturday and Sunday night.

Tonight, temperatures are expected to stay between 0 and 4 degrees.

Notwithstanding it being unbearable cold… the snow does make a pretty picture.

Here are a few examples…

Meanwhile, despite the west being known for its wild weather, Galway escaped today unscathed from the snowfall elsewhere.

Motorists are being warned to be extra vigilant this weekend, and looking at these videos from Donegal, you can see why.

In Northern Ireland, the snowy scenes were even more extreme.

But between the snow, the Brexit agreement, and the fact that it’s Friday – it’s been a very beautiful day.

No actually Christopher Hitchens said it & done an article in Vanity Fair about the fact that evolution may have made men funny as they have to be for the purpose of mating whereas women don’t require the same tactic. After several rebuttals by women including several successful female comedians it appears they only managed to confirm his hypothesis.

Definitely” over thinking girl”. It’s a lot better than me. I struggle very much to read people and social situations so I end up being ” what inappropriate fecking thing did I say now ” woman. Lol

Glad I’m not alone in that C! I think we all have situations where we overthink – and it can be such a pain. Often it doesn’t do anything positive for us either.

Jo Brand is a brilliant comedian, doesn’t take any crap and knows how to deliver a good story. Similar dead pan style Jack Dee. Im not a fan of Sue Perkins style as I think its very one dimensional, for me it’s more of a “look how clever and witty I am”, as opposed to delivering something funny about life. Her style seems very approval seeking.
