@Honeybadger197: It’s probably snowing all over the island, on the central plain, on the treeless hills, falling softly upon the graveyards, upon the crosses and the headstones, upon all the living and the dead.

@Honeybadger197: Im heading up to the wicklow mountains to go to the snow. Supposed to be deep up there.

Also, use the Norwegian weather service, yr.no (its a website). They have accurate data on every place in Ireland, even tiny villages. Much better than the Irish service (surprise surprise…).

On a side note…I just read the Journal.ie article from yesterday about the completion of the Luas extension. Strange this is…no one has asked what seems to be a rather obvious question and I don’t know the answer. The question is: The new Luas line is 5.9km long and total cost was €368 Million, so that’s €62.37 million per kilometer. I know there’s a bit of digging, concrete pouring, laying tracks, and electrical but it’s pretty standard stuff – how on earth can you spend € 62.37 Million for every KM? What was the money spent on? I’m pretty angry at what seems like (?) mismanagement of our tax money.

@gregory: It’s not exactly way off course, Edinburugh’s tram system ended up at a cost of €63.5M per KM. I believe the Cross City costs include the building of a new depot at the line end and 7 new longer trams.
