A TEENAGER HAS been arrested and is being held at a Dublin Garda station in connection with an ongoing international investigation into computer hacking.
The arrest was one of five that were carried out by authorities investigating the LulzSec computer hacking case today.
Gardaí said that working with international colleagues as part of an ongoing investigation into computer hacking they arrested a man in his late teens this morning. He is being held at Terenure Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
It is believed the man is being held in connection with charges filed against five people in the United States in connection with an investigation into LulzSec, an offshoot of the Anonymous hacking group.
LulzSec has claimed responsibility for high-profile cyber attacks on government and agencies’ computer systems incuding those of the CIA, the US Senate and the Sony technology company.
Its ringleader, named as Hector Xavier Monsegur, is reported by AP to have turned against on his colleagues and secretly became an informant for the FBI months ago.

Him being called a Teenager makes me think he is still in secondary school. And as a Secondary school student I doubt he was thought how to do it in school because I certainly am not thought anything about computers

So they seem to be able to track hackers and share sites, but child porn and other sicko sites they turn a blind eye. Everything will be done to protect the money men. ( no matter how they make it )
They do a very good job of tracking child porn actually. These are not sitting online undetected, they’re closed loops that need to be infiltrated by trained law enforcement officials to take an entire ring down.
As for this kid, he’s unlikely to be some computer whizz, rather he has downloaded something from a site and run it.

Dont be stupid! I am qualified in this field. This is not Hollywood. This poor guy is going to be made an example of and is going to spend ALLOT of time behind bars for executing someone else’s script… Id say we have signed him over already.

What actual harm has this lad done? Has he done anything other than “cyber graffiti” messing with webpage?
They say he was part of a group that hacked the CIA, no, they didn’t hack the CIA, they steal valuable information, they just dicked about with the homepage that has virtually nothing to do with the actual CIA.
If he had something to do with the Sony attacks last year resulting in alot of subscribers details being stolen and online services taken down for over a month at Sony’s expense – potentially millions.
Who gives the FBI in Ireland the right to have any body arrested for hacking a computer.Its a minor crime not murder, child abuse, or assault on the person.Just hire someone smarter than the hackers.
Has it been removed for stating a fact that this guy will be made an example of and will spend allot of time behind bars if convicted and that we will do anything to keep America sweet and have probably signed him off already?
