@Fozz: of course my evidence is anecdotal. From the people i know and have spoken to they generally think its a disgrace. I believe a lot of people did not know the extent of a price increase and i count myself amongst them. A case of beer is now 45 euro!!! that is beyond belief. im a wine drinker so haven’t seen a huge increase but i know casual beer drinkers who are livid. Its clear which side of the line the journal are on, lets see if they put up a poll.
@Fozz: Going by that argument you shouldn’t assume that most even care. I’d imagine that most do actually care, but that’s just my opinion. Perhaps there should be a poll, I’d love to see the results.

@Sean Higgins: that’s not true in the least. Most people were not aware of any abuse. Obviously those who suffered and the perpetrators did. In cases where it was reported those people in charge, including police, hid the abuse, it wasn’t known to the rest of the world. I lived through those times and never knew of the terrible things that were happening until they were exposed in the USA and then worldwide. Evil at its worst.

@Fozz: That’s the point of posting a comment on a news site. Irate view points and other view points are a valid reason for judging public opinion. In the case of alcohol price control, the fact the increased price goes directly to the profits of the Supermarket, Off licence , this increase was not in the public interest, but to enhance the profits of the retailer.

Her treatment of the poor and doing nothing to alleviate their suffering under the guise of bringing them closer to God is at the very least hypocrisy.
When it came to her own medical issues in her life, no expense was spared attend the worlds elite hospitals.

@Seamus Mac: absurd in what sense? Millions in donations yearly and they would not give any medication to the sick, eg morphine to the dying. Tattered blankets and bedsheets in their mission in Calcutta. Visitors were horrified at the conditions therein and what the sick were subjected to.
