I’ll play Horslips and Rory all morning until the kids cry for mercy. They love my Paddy’s day playlist. Shall also have a big Irish fry up. And will take the eldest for a couple of scoops in the GAA club while the other two have a puck around. Family day.

St Patrick’s day is up there as one of the most depressing days of the year.
@i.Have.it.Me.: Totally, as kids it was spent in mass followed by standing in the freezing rain watching a row of tractors drive by. As you get older it’s spent hungover with an all consuming fear. Now as parents it’s back to the tractors. Sob.

@Garreth Byrne: That wouldn’t be unusual, we are a Catholic country, I wouldn’t be the best practicing Catholic but go to mass occasionally, will try to rectify this now that Covid is “relatively” under control.
@Charles Coughlan: Not just Catholics that celebrate the feast of St.Patrick. I always thought that fact should have been exploited more to help the mixing of the green and orange.

Nope I’ll be working
I’ll be doing a Men’s Trek up the mountains followed by a few jambons from Costcutter in Perrystown.
I’m not allowed in any licenced premises, im not allowed to consume any alcoholic beverages and I have to observe a 7am to 9pm curfew so I’ll not be doing very much this year im afraid.

We can’t now as my son has covid. He was supposed to be taking part with his GAA team in our towns local parade and he’s devastated about it.
