Gardaí investigating after man tried to 'pull woman to ground' in early morning south Dublin attack

It’s understood the incident occurred on Loughlinstown Drive.

GARDAÍ IN DÚN Laoghaire have begun an investigation after an attempted assault on a woman in Loughlinstown this morning.

At around 7am, it is understood a woman in her 20s was approached on Loughlinstown Drive.

In a statement to TheJournal.ie, gardaí said: “A female reported to gardaí that an unknown male attempted to pull her to the ground.”

Gardaí added that the attempt was “unsuccessful”, and that the woman did not receive any injuries.

It is understood that gardaí are checking CCTV in the area to try to identify the man involved.

No arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.

This is one of a number of attacks that have taken place in the nearby Shankill area in recent years.

Last year, between 150 to 200 took part in a march in the same south Dublin suburb over a number of sex attacks in the area, and the wider issue of sexual and domestic violence.

TheJournal.ie reported at the time that gardaí were reviewing hundreds of hours of CCTV footage to attempt to trace the person or persons responsible for the attacks.

Much, much easier said than done in the real world. Near impossible in Ireland. Sure we couldn’t even manage convictions against the Anglo boys who pretty much admitted market manipulation.

Considering most of these developers have top financial and legal advisors and considering they had very little to gain by informing Nama about the full extent of their assets , you would have to wonder what the full amount of assets salted away by developers was , easily a multiple of the 800million anyway I’ve no doubt

But how many who owe Nama money, are still buying property off Nama ? It’s all a game…

In fact they should make Nama: the board game. The Go to Jail card would be a hundred Euro note.

I’m suprised they don’t have them sign an agreement to barring them using the information.
