@Francis Mc Carthy: Franny, the immigration system is broken in the States. You can’t prosecute an illegal immigrant and detain them without separating them from their children. The only other solution is to leave them go which is open immigration for families. People have rejected open border immigration.

The issue you can’t seem to grasp is that the issue of separating children is part of a strategy by Trump to put immigration as a centre issue leading up to the primaries. He hammered the Democrats on this issue in the GE And He is following a similar strategy….

Let’s see how the midterms go…if the Democrats can’t win back the House, they are finished for a long time. And the Congressional Generic Vote highlights it’s 50/50. So much for the Blue Wave. On top of that, the California primaries were a nightmare for the Democrats. And Joe Crowley’s loss shows they are a divided party with no set policy. The Republicans are uniting while the Democrats are divided.

The Senate will stay Republican.

First:
You suggest that liberal media and the Democratic Party is behind the division and hate currently driven by Trump and his administration, and that people are now beginning to realise this, and are “walking away”. You offer no substance, but link a video you hope will reaffirm your rejection of reality.

Second:
Do you know anything at all about Brandon Straka? The WalkAway “movement” is, at best, nothing but a piece of art, while more likely a publicity stunt by a failing cabaret actor in New York. Straka has never left the Democratic Party, but has been a conservative, Hillary/liberal/media bashing individual all along (see his prev. work for ref.).

Lastly:
How about real arguments for a change that has some truth in it. Fraud.

These were real people with real families. It is not right to politically point score off their misery. America has a huge problem and people need to come together to solve it, not have the divide driven wider by blaming anyone other than the actual gunman. In Baltimore, not long ago, the Democrat led administration could barely pass a law that included a mandatory sentence of one year in prison on a person found carrying an illegal weapon. And it will only become effective if the person has a previous illegal gun conviction or if they are committing a crime.

That’s in Baltimore, one of the murder capitals of the US. What’s the point in adding even more gun laws when the Democrats refuse to enforce current ones with proper punishments? Of course, the Democrats who were against the law said it was controversial because they viewed it as “racist” in that it would result in more African American convictions.

@Paul Laing: Transporting firearms in Maryland is highly restricted by law. You need a permit to obtain restricted weapons in the State and must undergo strict checks and training. You cannot carry a gun across the border into Maryland.
