Lock him up. A message needs to be sent that abuse of emergency services is off limits.

@prop joe: There’s more to being a paramedic than just dealing with junkies, Prop Joe. For every bad junkie story there’s 5 good stories. Hopefully this little scrote will feel the full effects of the law.

@Stephen Deegan: By that you mean a suspended sentence & a fine…the fine he probably wont pay & then gets a day trip to the prison & money to make his way home in time for tea…our justice system has no full strength at all.

@Quentin Moriarty: I’d agree with you. Blacklisting for ambulance and fire service. You can’t safely dispatch a crew to the likes of that.

@Quentin Moriarty: Can’t be done, guys. We can only request Gardai assistance if we recognize the address or if the address is flagged as having a previous history of danger to the crews. We can’t just not go to a call.

Little sc#mb#g, I hope none of his family are ever in the urgent need for a paramedic! Hopefully he’s given a couple of year’s…… in prison, to think about that one! Won’t hold my breath on that one!

If the teen really did assault the paramedic, I hope he is taught a lesson before he turned in to a real sc**mag.

@Ollie Lad: it’s exactly what we had to create here in Massachusetts. Assault & Battery on an EMT/Paramedic in the performance of their duty is a minimum mandatory 6 months in the House of Correction upon conviction! I did 37 years Full & Part time in and around Boston. Fortunately for me and not them, I did 25 years as a Full Time Police Sgt. and was in the gym and weight room daily. If any little shiates assaulted my partner or myself he or she would need more than my Ambulance usually an Operating Room; piss ants! Truly wish that I could have given the parents an arse kickin’ as well! Peace
