That’s three road victims today. Shocking, tragic and very sad. Slow down people, put away the phone and stay safe. Life can change in an instant.

Really sorry to read this and for anybody who loses their life in an accident. On a small point though, I wouldn’t necessarily say that the driver of the 4×4 in this case got away uninjured. He/she may not have been physically injured but mentally/psychologically that must hurt and that’s a hurt they will never forget no matter who was at fault.

@Darcy: Many giving Sound Advice and Reminders, solid thinking. You seem more concerned with the ” PC ness” of your ‘ non judgemental’ comment. No one judging anything, just Gentle Reminders.. Be Alert, Be Vigilant, Exercise Caution at ALL TImes.

I’ve driven in many countries and I can say we Irish on average are feckin terrible drivers.
No such thing in people’s minds as a safe travelling distance, all the time people are driving behind cars with only one car length between them.
Some people need to cop on and drive safer.
Last week I sware a transit van was so close to me I’d say he was less than a metre from the back of my car on the M1, I was overtaking in the overtaking lane, can’t these people just relax and wait until I’m finished my overtaking and move back into the left lane. So annoying, I’ve a dash cam in the front but I’m seriously considering getting a rear one and reporting these people.

@Diarmaid O’Riordáin: it annoys me when I leave a safe gap to the car in front, and then some numpty pulls unto it.
