BRITISH TRANSPORT POLICE today arrested a man waving a St George’s English flag who spent the night on the roof of London’s St Pancras rail terminal, forcing the suspension of Eurostar trains.
Services between London and continental Europe were suspended for several hours because of the trespasser.
“A 44-year-old man has this morning been arrested for trespass and obstruction of the railway, having spent the night on the roof of St Pancras Railway Station,” British Transport Police said in a statement.
A police spokesman confirmed the man had been waving an English flag in an apparent act of protest.
The incident happened a day after thousands of protesters massed outside the British parliament, many of them waving English and United Kingdom flags, in protest against Brexit being delayed.
“We have suspended all services to and from London St Pancras this morning, due to a trespasser on the tracks outside of St Pancras,” a Eurostar statement said.
The company later said services had resumed.
Yesterday evening, the police had said that a man was “in a precarious position” at the London terminal.

In total 175 people died by terrorism attacks last year. In 2004 196 people were killed. In that year 191 people died in the attacks in Madrid.
1988 was the most violent year in Western Europe. 270 people died in the attack on the Pan Am flight over Lockerbie.
The data for the years 1970-2015 are from the Global Terrorism Database van Start. The data for 2016 is from Wikipedia.
Western Europe is defined as:: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland en Vatican City.

Sure, if you take decades worth of statistics then Islamic extremism is not the most common form of extremism in Europe. However, Communist terrorist organisations active in the 1970′s aren’t the ones responsible for running innocent civilians over at a Christmas market in 2016 now are they? Looking at the last decade in Europe, Islamic terrorism is by far the largest single source of intentional mass killings of civilians.

I looked into it, and pretty much the vast majority of individuals arrested for terror-related offenses in Europe in 2015 alone were picked up for fundamentalist Islamic activities according to Europol. Interestingly enough, 40% of all people arrested for terrorism-related offenses in Europe in 2015 were picked up in the bastion of integration otherwise known as France.

You know that ‘Other’ is used in statistical data to signify a broad category of diverse causes so as to condense the data in a more reader-friendly format right? That could include hundreds of individual categories which you’re comparing to one.
I’m sure you won’t mind posting the statistical data then as I’m 100% certain that this is what is happening with the data that you have.

If the process of verification of news stories is reasonably objective and accurate, it is a sensible initiative.
I take most if what I read on Facebook with a very high degree of scepticism. There should be an award for the top 30 of false stories.
How about no sensorship instead? I don’t know about you, but I’m highly suspicious of any attempt to create a ‘Ministry of Truth’ no matter how well intended.
