Man arrested in connection with woman's death in Dublin

The 37-year-old woman was taken to hospital with injuries yesterday morning, but later died.

ONE MAN HAS BEEN arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí were called to a residence at Upper Sherrard Street in Dublin city at around 11am yesterday. They had received reports concerning a woman with injuries at the premises.

The woman, 37, was taken to the Mater Hospital for treatment, but later passed away.

Today, gardaí investigating the circumstances of the woman’s death arrested a 44-year-old man in Dublin city.

He is currently being detained at Mountjoy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
