GARDAÍ IN WATERFORD are investigating an alleged assault last night that resulted in three youths being hospitalised.
Gardaí said the incident occurred at Earlscourt, Waterford last night at about 11pm.
A number of youths were involved in an altercation after which three required medical attention.
They attended Waterford Hospital for treatment.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the assault or anyone who can assist them to contact them at Waterford Garda Station on 051 – 305300.

I get checked yearly since my mother died six years ago from cancer..but most fellas I know would ignore cancer than go for a prostate exam..That’s the sad truth.
Are bloods good enough to get checked every year or would a prostate exam be advisable aswell?
@Kieran Stafford: My Dad has had prostate cancer since he was 67. He is now 80. He gets his blood tested every 6 months as the high PSA is only an indicator that something is amiss…..if it is high he gets a prostate exam. He has a great consultant who keeps a very close eye on him.

Prostate cancer is one of the slowest growing of all cancers.
Should have retired years ago but lost his pension in that clown bank Anglo Irish, had to continue working. Best wishes to him.
Lost twice, first time fiddled by his accountant, 2n on shares. Bet he wishes he was a public servant…entrepreneur pension and zero risk.
Gets a 120,000 retainer for nothing from RTE so he wont work for anyone else….. All for doing nothing…. Gets paid for any work on top of that…. So I wouldnt shed any tears about his pension. We tax payers already took care of that through RTE….. No sign of a thank you yet though

@Jerry Slattery: He said that it may have spread to his back, which if true will make his battle more difficult. No age is the right age to get cancer.
It’s never good when it has spread and bone metastasis are probably the most painful.

Yes gay announced the news himself as people have said he’d be hounded by the press when the story would be leaked. Let’s face it the journalists in this country would spin it that he’s at deaths door. He probably felt it would be better to give the news himself on HIS radio show slot rather than someone gaining from it

@Paul Compton: If he had done as you suggested the story would be leaked to the media by someone in the hospital and he would be hounded by journalists, many of whom would not know a real news story if it fell on them.
