Man's body found in Wexford home

It is believed the man’s body may have lain in the house for some time. A post-mortem is being undertaken today to determine the cause of death.

A POST MORTEM will be carried out today on a man whose body may have lain in his home for some period of time after his death.

Gardaí confirmed today that they were contacted yesterday at around 5pm, after which the man’s body was found at his home in New Ross, Co Wexford.

The Irish Independent reports that a smell from the home led to the alarm being raised.

A garda spokesperson said the death does not appear to be suspicious. The cause of death is expected to be discovered during the post-mortem today.

In March, the body of a 62-year-old man was found in Wexford town some three months after he passed away.
