DETECTIVES IN THE North have arrested a man in his 20s and two teenagers following reports of a serious sexual assault in Co Down.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of Londonderry Park on the Portaferry Road in Newtownards.
At around 6.25am this morning, a woman told police that she’d been assaulted by a number of men in the vicinity of the park a short time earlier.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape and remains in custody at this time. Police later confirmed that a 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old man had also been arrested on suspicion of rape.
The PSNI has appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

Just watching some US coverage of his visit. Whatever your views on the church FOX are nothing short of a disgrace on their commentary and comments…mocking him etc. They’re parents probably voted against Kennedy because he was Catholic.
My favourite quote was from Jeb Bush saying that the Pope shouldn’t comment on climate change because he’s not a scientist…… I’m pretty sure his family all world renowned scientists…. Not!!!
FOX must have said he hates capitalism three times in a minute. A priest they had on air said no he hates rich greedy people to which fox just cut him off.
I really try not to watch FOX news.It actually hurts to listen to such blatant and deliberate ignorance and normally I’d be all for a bit of Pope bashing.
