THE CRIMINAL ASSETS BUREAU has seized a number of items of clothing, watches and cash in a “significant development” into its ongoing investigations into a local organised crime gang in the Dublin 9 area today.
The search was assisted by officers from the local Detective and Drug Unit along with the Regional Armed Support Unit.
The items seized included €6,000 in cash, five Canada Goose coats, one Moncler coat and two Rolex watches.
These items are in addition to €14,560 that was seized by local gardaí from targeted searches in September 2019, a garda statement said.
“This morning’s search operation is a significant development in an on-going investigation in to cash accumulated by a local Organised Crime Gang from the sale and supply of controlled drugs,” gardaí said.
This is an example of the Criminal Assets Bureau working with local Gardaí to target the low value assets of persons involved in drug dealing in the community in North Dublin.

The last 2 CAB Raids happened in South Dublin but the journal reported it as Dublin (no south)but when it’s in north Dublin the journal are very quick to headline North Dublin.

Worth popping in to highlight that the fur on Canada Goose jackets is real, and sourced from wild Coyotes trapped in northern Canada by fur trappers using snares and other cruel trapping methods. I’m not sure at what point we all switched from being against fur farming to thinking this was OK but you’d nearly be better off with a pure mink coat than one of these jackets. Absolutely horrendous stuff.

Absolutely, it’s just all wrong for a Rolex Oyster Perpetual date, the strap is wrong, the second hand, the hour hand, the bezel, the crown. Although it’s become indicative of just how much the clothing is worth when gardaí raid these people, seize expensive jackets and put them on show.
@Arch Angel: First giveaway is the crystal being scratched to bits. Hands, bracelet, lug width, print on the dial etc.

As a jeweler I hate to be the one to inform them the Rolex they show in the photo is a very cheap knockoff. Anyone who has the smallest knowledge of watches would call that from a mile away
Why not chase the crooked politicians and bankers, or is it just low class crooks they chase. They have the power to go after untouchables in politics and finance.
All I do is sell a few coats and watches down at the market and I’m branded a criminal I’m an entrepreneur!
