The Daily PollTHE GOVERNMENT HAS come under fire in recent days after ministers apparently refused to rule out increasing income tax in this year’s Budget.
Pat Rabbitte said he wanted no “red lines” in Cabinet discussions on how to make the necessary €3.5billion in savings, while Brendan Howlin also declined to rule certain areas out.
However, Taoiseach Enda Kenny has insisted that a Programme for Government pledge to maintain income tax rates will be honoured.
Several groups have previously called for a new top rate of income tax for high earners as a way of raising extra revenue.

Way to go!! Now they have just announced that the airport was closed down solely relying on “eye witness” calls and accounts, not verifiable confirmation of said drones.

The latest news is that a reporter pressed a police officer to say there might have been no drones over the airport, the reporter got his soundbite and that sells papers. T he police have just clarified that there were 67 verified sighting of one or more drones over the airport.
