Two or three drinks means nothing. It’s the amount of alcohol/ blood reading that counts. I could drink 3 pints over two hours yet be under the limit,
Healy Rea was not looking for locals to be allowed drunk drive. He wanted the RSA to scrap this stupid rule where a driver has two seperate limits for driving identical vehicles. The only difference is one is a small commertial vehicle like a Fiesta van ( limit of 20ml alcohol per 100 ml of blood) yet the other private Fiesta car the limit is 50ml..

Most definitely. If you harm anyone, not even necessarily kill them, while drunk driving you should immediately be humanely put down immediately after being found guilty. No decent person would have a thing to worry about

How many checks were done 5 yeArs ago compared to now I would guess a lot less … All the guards I know would drink a few and drive home … Flash the badge and straight through … I worked as a bar man in rathfarnham and one evening a Garda was celebrating a promotion … I served the group all night …. On way home at 3 in the morning one of the same Garda was stopping at a check point … When stopped and asked where I was coming from I said the glen side pub and I was serving you all evening …. I was let straight through the breath test … As he new I was sitting with them after hours having a pint with them …. That’s god old Ireland … He has since retired and is now a taxi driver ….
