TWO WOMEN HAVE been arrested after a serious assault took place at a home in Co Wexford in the early hours of this morning.
The assault occurred at a residence in Clonard at approximately 1.10am today.
Gardaí said that man in his early 40s was discovered with “apparent” stab wounds and was taken to Wexford General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The scene is currently preserved in order for a technical examination to be carried out.
Two women, aged in their 30s, were arrested at the scene and are currently being detained at Wexford Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. Investigations are ongoing.

You can expect every day someone to be seriously assaulted in Ireland, and that’s putting it lightly. And the tragic thing is it could be you, a brother, sister, aunt or uncle. And there is little or no repercussions.
@Sean Kelly: utter nonsense.Vast majority of these types of assaults [As will be the case with this.] are known to each other. Random assaults/stabbings are rare things in Ireland. You are far safer walking down the street in Ireland’s towns and cities than the UK or US….
@ℝ: They don’t feel rare when it happens to you. I used to hold your view until I was beaten unconscious by group of young lads when I was walking home. Well lit area with CCTV but the guards couldn’t make the people out. I’ll never get an answer or a reason for why it happened

@Lapsy Pa: There used to be a Veronica on here complaining daily about the violence of men towards women about a year ago. However, the violence of women towards men as per articles over the year seems to be on the increase? I suspect gender isn’t the main reason for violence in most incidents.
I live in Clonard which is a big suburb so it could be anywhere around in any of the estates. There were some parties going on around last night in Mount Prospect unless someone got rowdy at that.
Let then keep thinking it was the pangolins might at least stop the trafficking and save the creatures!
