IT WAS REVEALED today that the Health Minister James Reilly’s name is appearing on the defaulters’ list published in the Stubbs Gazette.
The issue has caused considerable controversy with the Minister now likely to make a statement in the Dáil tomorrow in relation to his failure so far to comply with a High Court order regarding the €1.9 million purchase of a nursing home with four other investors.
A monthly business magazine with a cover price of just under €9, Stubbs Gazette has been published continiously since 1836 and has, according to its own website, become recognised as the “reliable and comprehensive source of information that may be determined about companies”.
Its managing director James Treacy said today that publication of the Minister’s name would likely have a a “very detrimental impact” on his reputation.
And here’s what that entry on the defaulters list looks like. It is believed to be the first time ever that a sitting cabinet minister has appeared on such a list:

Darndale or Donaghmede? Radio earlier said the halting site in Darndale.

A man in his 20s has been arrested as part of an investigation into a series of pipe bomb attacks in Dublin.
The man was arrested after garda searches near a halting site in Darndale.
Two pipe bombs were recovered, along with a number of firearms and a quantity of ammunition.
The Army Bomb Disposal Team and more than 80 uniformed and armed gardaí are involved in the ongoing operation.
The searches follow on from pipe bomb attacks in the Coolock and Rivermount areas last Thursday and Friday.
Gardaí believe the attacks are linked to the ongoing feud between criminal gangs and the Real IRA.
The man arrested is being detained at Coolock Garda Station.
There is a Tara Lawn in Darndale and a Tara Lawns in Donaghmede, this definitely did not occurr in Donaghmede
