A CYCLIST IN his 40s has been taken to hospital after a serious collision involving a lorry in Dublin this afternoon.
The incident happened at around 2pm on the Station Road near the junction with Crag Avenue in Clondalkin.
The male cyclist was taken to Tallaght Hospital, where his condition is currently described as critical. The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
Investigators are currently examining the scene and the road is closed, with local diversions in place.
Gardaí at Ronanstown are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
They are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage who were travelling in the area at the time to make the footage available them.

way way back in the early 1980s i was working as head chef in a restaurant in a small cheshire town near liverpool – the restaurant owner was asked to lease a room for a ‘spiritualist evening’ featuring ‘a well known local medium ‘ (derek acorah -before he was on tv etc) anyway on the evening he arrived at the venue and was shown up to the meeting room , we were asked by the owner to send up a pot of tea and some refreshments – the girl who took the tray up to him said ” the manager said to bring this up for you ” achora replied -”oh ,i wasn’t expecting anything like that ” – “well your not much of a clairvoyant then are you “she replied !

@miju irl: In my experience it only stops you seeing that if you’re departed one is gone forever there is a peace in nothingness. I don’t want a man who behaved as Jesus Moses etc caring for loved ones in the afterlife with their record and the trouble and deception they caused. Its time religious platitudes were silenced. The truth as raw as it is is best
