125 IRISH TROOPS returned to Dublin Airport last night after a six-month deployment in Syria.
The troops were screened for symptoms and had their temperature taken upon arrival into the country. They landed in Dublin at 11.35pm last night.
They had been deployed to the Syrian capital of Damascus for six months.
The 61st infantry group were brought to their home barracks and have entered a 14-day period of self-isolation.
Most of the troops came from the 12th infantry battalion based in a barracks in Limerick.
They were replaced in Syria by the 62nd infantry group who have now been sent to Damascus.

Good tip. I use my phone as an alarm clock at night. Even turned down, the screen is still very bright. This should help
Don’t have an iPhone but have my phone set to the lowest setting due to photophobia after a papercut to the eyeball. Sometimes when it kicks up stink I have to wear sunglasses looking at the phone.

No, in Android it’s in settings… pretty obvious. Another Apple over complication of a basic function.

Screen brightness is in settings on an iphone too and its not over complicated. It says ‘display and brightness’ did you check before you commented?
Even simpler to swipe up from bottom and adjust the brightness slider

I like the tip. Did it on the iPad. Instructions could be better. Just sayin.
I don’t get it… Swipe up, move brightness to the left, job done. I can barely see it when it’s all the way to the left. Just what does this complicated method do that the brightness adjuster doesn’t? I can’t be arsed going through all that to check.
Hidden depths!
Using this feature ages and it really is very useful darkens the screen much lower than the standard brightness setting allows makes reading at night much better. And it’s handy just triple clicking when you need to lower the light for whatever reason in cinema etc.
