Gardaí appeal for witnesses to Cork crash which left five teens injured

The incident took place in Youghal last night.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses to a crash in Cork last night in which five teenagers were injured.

The single-vehicle collision took place in Monearmore in Youghal yesterday at approximately 9.20pm. 

A 17-year-old boy suffered serious injuries during the incident and was taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated. 

Two males and two females in their late teens were also taken to CUH to be treated for their injuries. 

The road was closed for a short time last night to allow an examination from Forensic Collision Investigators. The road has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 9pm and 9.30pm yesterday who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who may have camera footage to get in touch.

They should contact gardaí in Youghal on 024 92200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.

    Oh they have done it now. If you mess with 9/11 victims and firefighters, US citizens will not be happy.

    you are mistaken Robert, the US government cares not a damn for its firefighters and citizens, many response units such as firefighters are dying as a result of 9/11, they are terminally ill with lung disease and other problems and the US government are washing their hands off them. Did you watch Michael Moore’s Sicko? Its on the web somewhere, google it, an eye opener.

    I have to agree with Gemma, America and Britain, only honour their soldiers when they are in body bags, and then briefly. It treats them like crap, at all other times, especially if they have a leg or hand blown off.

    While the American public may be outraged, Murdoch is too influential in American politics, especially in the Republican Party, for a thing like this to matter. Then again, they are not in power now, and Obama must be looking forward to bashing Fox News on the nose.
