THE NATIONAL POST has produced an infographic which shows every piece of equipment James Holmes was wearing when he allegedly shot 12 people dead.
The attack took place last week at a movie theatre in Aurora, Colorado during a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises.
The infographic illustrates the true magnitude of the shooting spree by lining up every bullet Holmes had allegedly ordered or had in his car.

As long as the US continue to uphold their current gun policies there will be future incidents like this horrific one :( RIP to all those people killed.
Criminals who break the law by killing people will not be stopped by laws against guns. This was a carefully planned and premeditated attack, and the killer would just as easily acquire illegal weapons in a similarly planned and premeditated fashion.
Regardless of whether he would have acquired the weapons anyway, the fact remains he should not have been able to get every weapon listed online.
@ Brian. I would say that you are half right, but my take on it would be that for as long as the US makes it hundreds of times cheaper to get access to weapons then it is to proper mental health services then this will continue to happen, gun, knife, stick or stone
@tracy – I very much doubt a former phd student would have ready connections to the criminal underworld required to purchase an illegal semi- automatic rifle, a gun completely unnecessary for home defence or hunting. And it’s quite probable that fatalities could at least be reduced if this type of weapon was not as available as it apparently is.
@ Tracy, you’re talking rubbish. Off you go and try and purchase that arsenal of guns and ammunition in Ireland or the UK. Let me know how you get on.
In excess of 500,000 legally held firearms in Switzerland yet it has a lower homicide rate than Ireland. The same is true of nations like Denmark and Norway.
The fact is the doctrine of prohibition, although popular, is ineffective, at best, as can be seen from the availability of illegal drugs in Ireland.
Those firearms held in Switzerland are of the hunting variety.

This is clearly quite different to being able to purchase an AR15, body armour and tear gas canisters (what kind of hunting requires tear gas for God’s sake) over the internet.

190 million guns in circulation in the US. 10,000 gun related deaths a year. Legally entitled to own assault rifles. A weeney bit of a problem me thinks. It would seem that if your a bit down with yourself and society the thing to do is reach for your personal arsenal and obliterate as many of your peers as possible.

It’s illegal to buy a small chocolate egg with a toy yet completely legal to buy an automatic rifle, handguns and countless rounds of ammunition. The absurdity of it would make you laugh if it wasn’t such a seriously flawed, to say the least, legal system. Until this changes there will be many, many more deaths by firearm, as it is I have yet to hear of even one death by “Kinder Egg”.

Obama said he was “shocked and horrified”. These things don’t shock me at all anymore. When it happened in Norway I was shocked, but when it happens in the USA it’s a regular occurrence. This one may have stood out slightly but only because of batman!

Bob you think what this guy has had bought us insane, you should take a look on YouTube at fpsRussia an American guy who puts on a Russian accent while testing out weapons he has bought in the US. In one episode he drove up to a McDonalds in an old cold war era tank, and has tested other heavy duty weaponry.

A presidential candidate in the US will not be voted in if he/she is going against the gun laws, it’s engrained in their way of daily life. Unfortunate, but that’s the system they have.
I went to batman last night and couldn’t help thinking about those poor people. At what point of the movie did he come in and the panic etc…. Ruined my enjoyment of the movie.
