Programmers sought for dream job on tropical island

If you love turquoise waters, white sand and writing code… then it’s time to dust off your CV.

TWELVE PROGRAMMERS ARE being sought to live on a tropical island for two months and take part in a coding “hackathon”.

Those wishing to be involved in the project in paradise have been asked to submit a proposal outlining what they will work on during their time on the island.

Potential participants living on the as-yet-unnamed island will also have to pass psychological evaluations aimed at proving they can live harmoniously with the others.

Successful applicants will have pay for their own travel to the island and contribute a “largely symbolic” submission fee, reports the BBC.

Come Hack With Us is asking for programmers with “great ideas and motivation”.

The correct story compliments of RTE.

A man in his 20s has been arrested as part of an investigation into a series of pipe bomb attacks in Dublin.

The man was arrested after garda searches near a halting site in Darndale.

Two pipe bombs were recovered, along with a number of firearms and a quantity of ammunition.

The Army Bomb Disposal Team and more than 80 uniformed and armed gardaí are involved in the ongoing operation.

The searches follow on from pipe bomb attacks in the Coolock and Rivermount areas last Thursday and Friday.

Gardaí believe the attacks are linked to the ongoing feud between criminal gangs and the Real IRA.

The man arrested is being detained at Coolock Garda Station.
