You’ll be just ten minutes from the beautiful village of Ballyvaughan.

LOCATED ON THE edge of the Burren along the Wild Atlantic Way in Co Clare, this three-bed home is nothing short of extraordinary.

The property is steps away from Gleninagh Quay, with a layout that’s clearly been designed to make the most of the panoramic ocean views.

The site includes a chalet-style detached home office and a large garage or boat house. Clad in a mix of natural wood and stone, everything directly complements the beautiful surroundings of Clare and the Burren.

For outdoor entertaining and relaxing, there are multiple seating areas throughout the gardens, including one with an outdoor fireplace.

Stepping inside the main property, the accommodation is split over three levels. The house enjoys a warm and welcoming feel, while picture windows and Velux windows bring the outside in.

The front door opens to a cosy living room with a wood-panelled ceiling, wood-burning stove and ample built-in storage. There’s also a dining area here, with room to seat at least six, while a spiral staircase leads to a large double bedroom and office space.

Off the sitting room is a luxurious bathroom with a sauna and roll-top bath, a bedroom and a galley kitchen with a breakfast bar. Another seating area is off the kitchen, complete with a multi-fuel stove, natural stone wall and access to the patio.

At lower level, the main sitting room is bright and spacious, with exposed beams, wooden flooring and a wood-burning stove. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the coast, while there’s access to a large decking area to enjoy the views outside. For rainy days, a tucked away reading nook is the perfect spot to sit and take in the surroundings.

A corner kitchen is off the living and dining room, with wooden units and a breakfast bar here.  A bathroom and double bedroom complete the accommodation.

Outside, the detached home office would undoubtedly make working from home easier. A picture window provides idyllic ocean views, while a stove is sure to keep you toasty on cold days.

Given the location, the boat house at the top of the slipway will lend itself to plenty of use, allowing ample storage space for water sports equipment.

With the Burren’s limestone landscape as your backdrop, there’s no shortage of beautiful walks and hikes to enjoy close to the property. Ballyvaughan village is a handy 10-minute drive away, with Bishop’s Quarter Beach and Ballyvaughan Pier here. Fanore Beach, a popular spot for surfing, is also a 10-minute drive away.

With an address at one of Ireland’s most picturesque locations and a charming interior to match, the sale of this property offers a lifestyle that many of us can only dream of.

The three-bed house at Gleninagh Quay, Ballyvaughan, Co Clare is on the market for €449,000 through DNG Brian MacMahon via Daft.ie.

Only 13% are immigrants? When do they start counting? I’d say the native Americans would say it’s a lot more than 13%.

Why would Native Americans say that? They didn’t have a country. They were hunter gatherers

Immigrants means people living there that were born elsewhere. Would you say that the child of Polish immigrants here isn’t Irish even if they have spent their entire here?

Correct, he isn’t Irish, he may be born in Ireland but he is not ‘of Ireland’.

How many generations must someone’s bloodline go back before you would consider them Irish then? I have relations in the US that never set foot in Ireland but they have Irish parents. Would you consider them more Irish than the kid in my last example?

That lady Ann is deluded. The USA will be ground zero in next global collapse. The last place you will want to be is over there.

The tone of the article suggests she would have suffered awful hardship if she stayed in Ireland. As if the US is some kind of heaven on earth to immigrants. I know where I’d rather live.

“I want us to remember people like Ann Dermody from Alexandria, Virginia,” Obama said.

“She’s originally from Ireland and has lived in America legally for years. She worked hard, played by the rules and dreamed of becoming a citizen.”

Yes, she played by the rules, which is why illegal immigrants should not be given an amnesty. They have broken the law and should not be rewarded. It would also be unfair to the many people waiting around the world to emigrate to the USA, legally.
