A MALE PEDESTRIAN has died following a two-vehicle collision on the M7 motorway near Nass last night.

Once again the Gardai ask for motorists with Dash Cam Recordings of the incident to come forward!
How many Garda Vehicles have Dash Cams? My guess is, none! Given that it is now common place in many countries for Police officers to wear body – cams, it is only common sense that Garda Vehicles should have functioning Dash Cams.

@James McErlain: I agree that all Garda cars should have dash cams (maybe they already do, I don’t know), but it wouldn’t stop them seeking footage from motorists who were passing during or immediately before/after an incident. Dash cam footage of a squad car arriving to a scene after the fact is of no benefit. Regardless, may this person RIP and condolences to their friends and family

@James McErlain: I’m guessing Gardai were not present at time of accident , hence the request for footage to help with figuring out what happened

@James McErlain: You’re making my head hurt. They are looking to see if anyone caught the incident or persons involved before during or after the event. Generally speaking, the guards are called to these incidents, after they happen.
