IRISH RAIL WILL be running late night Dart and Commuter services every weekend from Friday in the lead up to Christmas and the New Year.
Late night services will serve all stations on the Dart lines, as well as the Dundalk, Maynooth and Kildare Commuter lines.
Irish Rail confirmed that all late night services will be timed to align with the midnight closure of bars, restaurants and other venues in the hospitality sector under current Covid measures.
The late night services will also have security personnel on board to ensure customers’ safety.
Here are the times from Fridays and Saturdays 3 and 4; 10 and 11; 17 and 18 December.

Irish Rail has confirmed fares will be charged at normal rates for all services over the coming weeks.
Weekly, monthly and annual season tickets will be valid on late night services.

Great idea for getting the staff members home from places that shut at midnight
This is a fantastic idea and a much appreciated service each year, but I would suggest that they consider adding services *towards* the city centre as well as away from it after hours, as many people who live in the city like to travel to suburbs for nights out – living in Dún Laoghaire I can attest to how many people find it frustrating that their only option getting home to the city is to taxi-pool if they’re at a house party or pub in the area at the weekend, as the nitelink and late night darts only run in the opposite direction away from town.
This small criticism aside, I’m delighted to see this service returning!
All the people in crammed pubs , can get intoxicated into crammed trains,
So yea lets stop kids going on play dates but let’s pack the pubs and trains home for a season of Xmas partying
