Fans urged to arrive early to Marlay Park for Van Morrison gig

Gardaí have thanked people for their co-operation and good behaviour while attending concerts at the south Dublin venue over the last two nights.

FANS ATTENDING THE Van Morrison gig at Marlay Park in Dublin today have been urged to arrive early at the venue.

The concert, which also features performances from Tom Jones and Don Baker, will get underway this afternoon with patrons advised to arrive early and co-operate with stewards and Gardaí.

A strict security operation has been operated in conjunction with concert promoters MCD at both the Noel Gallagher and David Guetta gigs over the past two nights following the violence which marred the Swedish House Mafia concert at the Phoenix Park last month.

Patrons attending the concert today will be subject to searches so have been advised to allow extra time for this.

Gardaí also say that anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs they will not be admitted to the concert site.
