One of the many reasons why journal.ie is a class news site is its ability to get these appeals out quickly, wouldn’t bother me if they got this appeal out hours after she went missing, the more people who know the better.

Hope this young girl turns up safe and sound. But a question for commenters – what decides how quickly appeals are put out for missing persons? Seems very quick if she was last seen today but obviously Gardai are concerned for perhaps very valid reasons. Hope it turns out for the best.

From looking the past few months it appears appeals for missing people are happening sooner rather than later

    I think that’s probably better
Hope this girl is found safe and sound

I think they take into account the age and habits of a missing person. A 16-year girl would be considered to be more at risk than an adult. I’d say they take into account also if the person in question is casual about being late home or even staying out nights and if they’re streetwise or no, or has a history of running away from home.
I really hope she’s found soon. I feel so sorry for her family, what they must be going through.

Hope this girl is found but really wish the news would get this stuff correct.. Donard Road and Keeper Road are in Drimnagh not Crumlin…. might help the search if they gave the correct information!
