Man due in court following seizure of €4.69 million worth of cocaine

Gardaí seized the drugs on Friday and arrested the man following an operation in Leopardstown, Dublin.

A MAN IS due in court following his arrest in relation the seizure of €4.69 million worth of cocaine by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau on Friday.

The man, who is in his 20s, is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice (Court 2) tomorrow morning, Monday 6 June, at 10.30am.

Gardaí seized the drugs on Friday and arrested a man following an operation in Leopardstown, Dublin.

As part of an ongoing investigation targeting serious organised criminal activity, officers stopped a vehicle in the Leopardstown and found 67 kilograms of cocaine, with an estimated street value of €4,690,000.

The was detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996, at Dundrum Garda Station.

Commenting on the operation yesterday, Assistant Commissioner John O’Driscoll said: “The successful outcome to an operation undertaken by the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, involving the seizure of cocaine with a street sale value close to €5 million, reflects the Garda Síochána’s determination to dismantle organised crime groups that trade in drugs”.

    Wow what an amazing person to go true all that and still gives back to kids and adults in archery,and still competes in the highest levels is amazing, if only we look at what we take for granted and see what Kerry does is truly amazing, young lady you are truly amazingly special and kind
