IN AN EFFORT to quell the damage over his unfortunate “47-percent” comments, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney overhauled his campaign’s ad strategy today, pulling all of his existing media placements in favour of a new ad that makes a straightforward appeal to voters.
But Democrats aren’t letting Romney get off so easily. Just hours after the new Romney ad launched, the Democratic National Committee released their own video response.
The ad, titled Those People, uses Romney’s own commercial to slam the Republican candidate as out-of-touch with the American people. And the effect is pretty brutal.

Indeed. How about actually showing the original ad, along with some Romney ads that have a “pretty brutal” effect on Obama’s credibility?
Also, in terms of the wider media coverage, what about those usual left wing complaints about “nasty Republicans” with their negative attack ads? I wonder if there are ever any “nasty Democratic” attack ads?

He really has shot himself in the foot. Before this video was posted I believed the final result would be VERY close but now not so sure.
Have to point out though that the Journal seems to only be posting pro-Obama pieces. Just seems a little bit biased to me
If you have been following you might have noticed that Romney has been having a terrible campaign (for the past month in particular ) , to be in with a chance he needs to win a couple of swing states and he’s a full 10 points behing Obama in Ohio , it’s closer in other swing states but no one has EVER come back and beaten an incumbent president from this far behind 50 days out , I think Romney is a muppet and hope Obama beats him hands down anyway.

At least Obama is less likely to jump on the big red button to placate Bibi&Co.
