    This country has gone to the dogs, crimes like this are becoming rampant. Criminals in this country face essential no prison time and even when they do go to prison they’re usually in cells with PlayStations and steak dinner. Time to build more prison and start treating theses people like the animals they’re. Rehabilitation is a myth for serious offenders!

    Exactly…..The Ballymurphy and Derry Massacres back then, fully signed off and sanctioned by the malodorous murdering Mountbattons/Saxe-Coburgs and the decrepit denisons of Downing St etc were the most vile and agregous of gun crime, callousness, bloodlust and depravity! May whatever spawned them animals collectively forgive them somehow….NOT!! ;@}

    @Muriel Ryan: we live in a wonderful country. Have you lived anywhere else? North Korea, Ukraine, Palestine, China – even the UK and USA are in a mess. Start appreciating what you have.

    @Geoff Scargill: Come on Geoff not really a high bar you’re setting there is it with those comparisons. Also are we substantially better than the UK? Their housing is more affordable and they have better healthcare.

    @Tom Barry: Another circle that will need squaring if we reunite the 6 counties…UK housing is cheaper because most home owners don’t own the land that their house is built on!

    @Tom Barry: Healthcare is better in Ireland. Life expectancy in the 26 is one year longer than in the six counties.

    When the cowards that killed this man are brought to court, they will have access to free solicitors and the finest senior and junior councils in Ireland. All on free legal aid scheme at the expense of the taxpayer. These bottom feeders will then attempt to discredit members of the public and the garda to get the rats they represent off on some minor technicality.

    Reports are he didn’t die of gunshot wounds but rather a previous undiagnosed brain condition! No murder investigation likely it seems.
