The 9 at 9 Good morning! Here are nine things you should know as you start your day…

EVERY MORNING, TheJournal.ie brings you the nine things you need to know as you begin your day.

1. #APRIL JONES A special service will be held in the town of Machynlleth in Wales where April Jones lived with her family. Yesterday Mark Bridger was charged with the five-year-old’s April’s abduction and murder. He will appear in court tomorrow.

2. #JAMES REILLY The Sunday Business Post reports this morning that the Minister for Health James Reilly knew that the primary care centre site in Balbriggan owned by one of his political supporters had been chosen by the HSE, despite his insistence that he was not involved in the selection of individual sites.

3. #JAMES REILLY 2 Meanwhile the Sunday Independent reveals that the health minister had consulted the Taoiseach and the Táinaiste around the time he increased the number of primary care sites from 20 to 35. The paper quotes a Labour source as saying Reilly is on his last legs.

4. #FIRE A pub in Dublin city centre was evacuated last night after a blaze broke out. An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire at Bowe’s Pub on Fleet Street, reports RTÉ.

5. #HEATING Dublin’s plan to provide district heating (not free, but ‘cost effective’) in new buildings is on hold due to funding issues at the Poolbeg generating plant. District Heating is used in countries like Russia and Poland, where it is low-cost or paid for through taxes.

6. #PHILIPPINES Muslim rebels in the Philippines have reached a peace deal with the country’s government which provides for an autonomous region in the south, according to the BBC. The conflict involving the Moro Islamic Liberation Front has been ongoing for 40 years.

7. #HACKING More than 50 victims of phone hacking have written to the British PM David Cameron to express their anger at the suggestion that the government could be set to reject new laws that would appoint an independent regulator to police the press. Hugh Grant, Jude Law and Charlotte Church are among those behind the letter, according to The Guardian.

8. #GLASTONBURY Tickets for this year’s Glastonbury festival go on sale today, but only to those who have pre-registered. An elaborate anti-touting system sees festival goers means that photo ID must be provided and tickets cannot be sold on. Tickets are expected to sell out today.

9. #JOHN JOE Olympic boxer and silver medalist  John Joe Nevin is going pro. He announced on RTÉ’s Saturday Night Show last night that he’s joining up with Amir Khan’s newly formed company Super Fight Promotions.

If you can’t go you return them to Glastonbury event management for a refund. Next person in line gets them. Pretty fair system

Or ask Wayne McCullough who won the world title, and made a mint in boxing. Reality is for John Joe, it’s probably his best opportunity to make a decent living for himself. He committed his whole life to boxing. Carruth’s style did not suit pro-boxing. I fear the same may be true of John Joe, but only time will tell. He’ll certainly be leaps and bounds above some of the weak talent in boxing today.

How in the name of God does Time magazine think this government is putting the Country back together when they are the most corrupt government since FF. I think we will have to invite these people over to Ireland to see for themselves whats going on.
