A PARTIAL TEXT message was sent from missing Irish woman Catherine Gowing’s phone to a colleague the weekend she disappeared.
The search by police is still continuing for Gowing in Wales and police have been given extra time to question a man over her murder.
WalesOnline reports that Gowing’s boss said that half a text message was sent to her colleague’s phone, which led to staff becoming worried. She also missed a weekend appointment, Bethan Kilfoyle told RTÉ’s Morning Ireland today, adding that police are now looking at mobile phone records.
Kilfoyle added that police are looking for items missing from Gowing’s house, as well as her missing car. She said that police are still questioning a 46-year-old man who is known to Catherine and frequented the village where she lives in New Brighton.

Police received an extension to continue questioning the man, who has not been named, which lasts until this evening.
CCTV footage taken the night Catherine disappeared surfaced in the last few days, showing that she had visited an Asda store last Friday after she finished work.
Catherine’s sister Emma has appealed to people to help locate her sister, as well as helping to find Catherine’s missing car, a plum/burgundy-coloured Renault Clio with Irish licence plates 00D99970:
I’d implore the local community to do all they can and help us find her. Look out of your windows, look as you drive or head to work. Check your local street, car parks, garages, waste land or anywhere a car may be left.
We are all so deeply shocked by the events that have unfolded in the last four days. Catherine’s disappearance has left us all bereft. We are lost without her.
The last known sighting of Catherine was in Asda, Queensferry, last Friday evening at 8.39pm, when she was wearing blue jeans, a light brown/ khaki-coloured fleece zipped jacket with white shoulder and side panels, and plain black flat shoes. Her brown hair was tied up.

She also had a bright brown saddle bag across her shoulder and body and was carrying a plastic Asda shopping bag and a pizza-type box.
Catherine has been working as a vet near Mold, Flintshire, for about the past two years.

It’s a bit like when Nikon brought out their blink detection software years ago. It asks “did someone blink?” I noticed it myself on my L100 and it worked fine. The problem arose when pictures of Asians were mistaken as someone blinking, even though they were not.
Since Nikon is an Asian company, one wonders what sort of quality control they had on that one.

I don’t think computers can be racist. They’re aren’t that advanced in AI yet.
Nor are they so advanced in recruitment…
This is an AI issue, not a human issue.

Black people don’t look anything like Gorillas . If it can tell the difference between a Leopard and a Jaguar then it should be able to tel the difference between a person and an Ape.
Don’t see how labeling a black person as a Gorilla is racist..sure aren’t we all as equally related to the gorilla?

There is a simple solution to that issue. It would involve swapping two words. Although I think gorillas would not like to be named humans. Just imagine what animal rights activists would say.
