The Police & Media & Judiciary covered it up for years for fear of upsetting racial relations & it was eventually uncovered years later. This is happening again in the UK & is also happening here & anyone who has reported an incident & seen no action taken by Irish authorities will tell you. The media are complicit too in the cover ups. It shouldn’t matter who you are, these crimes cannot be covered up for any reason. We are making the same mistakes now in Ireland as they did in the UK.

People REALLY need to start thinking about the consequences of their words and language. There are a lot of dimwits out there who take all of this stuff seriously. They aren’t the sharpest tools in the box and take all of the hysteria and misinformation as fact. There are many around here who are positively giddy at the idea of mass violence and division. Every baseless and unfounded comment like yours, just adds to an already combustible situation.

No videos online so far which is very odd as it happened in the middle of the day and normally there are a barrage of videos with different angles. the image being shown in the media has cropped the other end of a very slack looking rope. Something not quite right about that incident.

We are still at it too turning up in the UK and Australia in our droves. We have challenges for sure. But so many of the things you mention are not the fault of migrants and refugees. There’s never any upside presented. The fact that we NEED a significant amount of immigration with our ageing population. Many services such as health would die on their feet without it. Add in the cultural vibrancy that so many have brought to our country too.

None of this ever gets mentioned. Only the marginalising dog whistles that make people scared and hateful. There’s been government mismanagement in so many areas. Taking out our frustrations on people who had nothing to do with this is completely unfair. Right now it’s highly dangerous too. All of these words leads to the violence we see reported. We’ve turned into a nation where it’s no great surprise to hear that some of us have set refugee accommodation alight. Is this really who we want to be? It’s terrifying how quickly far-right ideology has spread in certain circles. I naively thought our history would mean we wouldn’t fall for this in any meaningful way. I was wrong.
