A CYCLIST HAS been taken to hospital with non-serious injuries following a “minor” incident with a Red Line Luas near Kilmainham in Dublin.
The Luas came to a halt near the Suir Road stop, blocking Dolphin Road after making contact with the cyclist.
According to a Luas spokesperson, there was “minor contact between a tram and a cyclist” near the Luas stop.
“A bystander called the emergency services, and the cyclist has gone to hospital for precautionary reasons,” the spokesperson added.
In a statement, Luas services warned passengers earlier this morning that Red Line services are “operating with delays due to an incident at Suir Road”.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused,” the statement said.
The Red Line has since been cleared, and services are operating normally.
