Motorcyclist (20s) killed in collision on N67 in Galway

There were no other injuries reported in the collision.

A MAN HAS died following a collision in Oranmore, Co Galway yesterday.

The collision, which involved a car and a motorcycle, occurred on the N67 at Tonroe, Oranmore, shortly after 4pm yesterday.

The motocyclist, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

His body was removed from the scene to the mortuary at University Hospital Galway, where a post-mortem examination will take place.

There were no other injuries reported in the crash.

The scene has been examined by Garda forensic collision investigators and the road has since reopened to traffic.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091 538000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station,” a garda spokesperson said.
