Teenage girl in critical condition following crash in Galway

The incident happened on the Ballygaddy Road in Tuam yesterday evening.

A GIRL IN her late teens has been critically injured following a two-car crash in Galway yesterday evening.

The incident happened on the Ballygaddy Road in Tuam at 6.05pm yesterday. The girl, who was driving one of the cars, was taken to University Hospital Galway.

Two other people, a male driver aged in his 20s and a female passenger aged in her 30s, were treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí are seeking the public’s assistance to understand the circumstances of this incident.

Investigators have asked that anyone with dashcam footage who was travelling on the Ballygaddy Road yesterday between 5.50pm and 6.15pm to come forward.

Anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash is asked to contact gardaí in Tuam on 093 70840, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
