The road closure is due to a planned anti-immigration protest. The Journal

Roads closed around Leinster House due to anti-immigration demonstration

There is heavy traffic as a result, with the Luas Green Line also experiencing delays and some Dublin Bus routes diverted.

ROAD CLOSURES AROUND Leinster House in Dublin city centre has caused heavy traffic around that part of the city.

The closures are due to an anti-immigration protest taking place outside the Dáil.

Merrion Street Upper, Kildare Street and Molesworth Street are all closed due to the demonstration.

Merrion Row is also closed between St Stephen’s Green and Merrion Street for emergency roadworks.

TFI has advised passengers that the Luas Green Line is operating with delays due to heavy traffic congestion on Dawson Street. Luas tickets will be valid on Dublin Bus during the disruption, it said.

Meanwhile, Dublin Bus has said that some of its services have been diverted due to the road closures, including routes 7b and 7d, 11, 37, 38 and 44.

A full list of Dublin Bus diversions can be found here.

@Lei tatt: The Government are right to be hiding and the people are right to be angry.
”The Minister for Justice has warned that an expected upcoming judgment from the EU’s highest court could be “very hard to justify”.
Speaking at the Institute of International and European Affairs, Jim O’Callaghan described the upcoming decision by the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) on the rights of asylum-seekers to accommodation as “very consequential”.
Earlier this year, an opinion from an advocate general stated that Ireland could not avoid responsibility for providing adequate reception conditions, even in cases where there was a large influx of people seeking international protection.
If that opinion was upheld by the CJEU, “which is the most likely outcome”, the minister warned, it would mean that people in Ireland on social-housing lists or homeless lists who had not been provided with accommodation could not receive damages for the State’s failure to provide accommodation.
On the other hand, he added, applicants for asylum would immediately on arrival in Ireland be able to claim and receive damages from the State if it could not provide them with accommodation.”

We need to wake up before it’s too late. Look at the towns across the UK whom natives were called racist when questioned this.

Look what’s been built in Clonmel and elsewhere.

But if fleeing Africa or the far or middle East that be some boat trip to Ireland most land in Spain , France Italy etc… so if we part of Europe why isn’t there large complex’s built in these main entry points to process these and as no one wants to leave their homes would not be better for our governments to make these countries better. So all these men can stay with their wives and children or send them if it’s so bad.
