A two-hour extension has been granted to the operating hours of Dublin Airport’s north runway Shutterstock

Do you support the decision to lift overnight flight restrictions at Dublin Airport?

The new limit placed on number of overnight take-offs and landings has increased from 65 to 95 per night.

RESTRICTIONS ON OVERNIGHT flights at Dublin Airport have been lifted, allowing an average of 95 flights to take off and land during nighttime hours.

The decision brings an end to a long-running row over night flights, as north Dublin residents and environmental activists had previously raised concern about noise with airlines and airport operator DAA.

DAA communications manager Graeme McQueen told RTÉ Radio One that the increase in flights won’t happen immediately, adding that the company aims to minimise the impact on people living near Dublin Airport.

So, tell us: Do you support the decision to lift overnight flight restrictions at Dublin Airport?
