Fog causes 60 flights to be cancelled at Heathrow Airport

So far, only one Dublin to London Aer Lingus flight has been affected.

ICE AND FREEZING fog at London’s Heathrow Airport is causing delays this morning.

Around 60 flights have been cancelled.

It is not sure when flights will return to normal but the UK Met Office said that the fog will be “slow to clear”.

A spokesperson for the Dublin Airport Authority told TheJournal.ie that so far, only one Aer Lingus flight has been cancelled flying from Dublin to Heathrow this morning.

Meanwhile, Met Éireann have issued a gale warning in Ireland:

Southeast winds will occasionally reach gale force this morning on coasts from Mizen Head to Valentia to Loop Head.

All passengers are advised to contact their airlines before travelling to the airport.
