Funeral for Carlow house fire victim to be held Christmas Day

The 50-year-old victim was yesterday pulled from a blaze at her home by her son but did not survive.

A WOMAN WHO died following a blaze at her Carlow home yesterday will be laid to rest tomorrow.

Margaret Doyle, 50, of Mountain View, Hacketstown, Co Carlow, was pulled from the fire at her home by her 20-year-old son but did not survive.

The body of the deceased was brought to to Waterford Regional Hospital on Sunday for a post-mortem examination, the result of which are expected to be announced later today. Gardaí believe the fire was a tragic accident.

Margaret Doyle will be laid to rest on Christmas Day in Hacketstown cemetery following a mass in St Bridget’s Church.

    To lost someone very close or dear to someone @ dis tym of d year is very-very painful. may her soul RIP nd may GOD comfort d families she left behind

    A very tragic and sad way for this lady to die…..Our thoughts and prayers should be with the family, and the wonderful heroic son that pulled his Mam from the fire……Condolenses to her family and friends, May she rest in peace amen.
