One4all reports 14 per cent increase in turnover in 2012

The Irish company behind the gift card brand said sales increased across all distribution channels last year.

THE IRISH COMPANY behind the One4all gift card brand has reported a 14 per cent increase in turnover for 2012 to over €150 million.

Sales at The Gift Voucher Shop, a Dublin-based firm, increased across all distribution channels including Post Office, PostPoint, online and corporate sales.

Post Office sales grew by 13 per cent compared to the previous year, while sales at PostPoint outlets such as Topaz and Applegreen service stations were up 31 per cent. Online sales also continued to grow, the firm said, experiencing a 24 per cent increase overall.

Corporate sales to Irish companies increased 13 per cent last year with more companies availing of the Small Benefit Exemption Scheme, which allowed firms to reward employees up to €250 in One4all Gift Cards and Vouchers tax and PRSI free.

Commenting on the figures today, Michael Dawson, group CEO at the Gift Voucher Shop said the growth can be attributed to a number of factors including a gradual increase in business confidence which has boosted corporate sales but also “a general trend among consumers towards more practical and flexible gifts”.

Over 1,600 retail, hospitality and service providers in Ireland have signed up to the One4all scheme to date, representing more than 5,300 outlets nationwide and online.

Same basic plotline of Brave New World. I’ll probably read it.
