THE BODY OF a man was found in a house in Drumcondra in the early hours of this morning, sparking a garda investigation.
Gardaí said today that gardaí in Ballymun are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of the male in a house on Church Avenue, Drumcondra.
The body of the deceased man, who was in his 30s, was discovered shortly before 2am this morning. Gardaí have sealed off the scene for a forensic examination and the body has been removed to the city morgue, where a post mortem will be carried out later today.

Ballymun now covers Drumcondra???? Is this for real, ffs, we are getting what seems to be more death due to other people’s hands and yet more stations are being closed. I’m not being just worried about Dublin but what about the station nearest Drumcondra? Did that only open three hours a week?
Santry garda station covers Drumcondra but as Santry station is not open 24 hours, guards from Ballymun station were called to the scene during the night. Whitehall garda station used to cover Drumcondra up until last year. RTE have reported that the guards are not treating the death as suspicious so don’t see how this is even relevant in this case, a man has died, have a bit of respect and stop bringing politics into it.
Cut wages?! They already closed down the Drumcondra/whitehall police station. It probably took ballymun police hours to respond.

Whats the police doing in dublin??
It was recommended to the Irish government in 2010 that to properly police this state we needed 14000 Gardai, yet this government is intent on reducing our police force to 8000. Getting away with crime will be easier as our police force will be out numbered and over worked. Thanks Enda, only hope the first house robbed is yours.
