Man in late 30s is held in murder conspiracy probe

He was arrested in Cork this morning and is being questioned by gardaí in Gurranabraher.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a man in Cork on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

Gardaí in Gurranabraher arrested the man over the offence of conspiracy to murder, a garda spokesperson told TheJournal.ie.

He said gardaí arrested a male in his late 30s this morning in the Cork area. The man is being questioned by detectives in Gurranabraher and can be held for up to a week.

RTÉ.ie is reporting that the man is a former politician.
