THE AIRCRAFT WHOSE nosewheel collapsed on the main runway at Dublin Airport this morning was carrying live rats and mice as its cargo.
TheJournal.ie has learned that live rats and mice were being carried as cargo on the BinAir flight that experienced difficulties after landing at Dublin Airport this morning.
The rodents are intended for sale in pet shops in Ireland and a source has confirmed that none of the rodents were harmed during the incident and no rats or mice managed to escape.
The nosewheel of the plane, which arrived from Manston in Kent, southeast England this morning, collapsed after landing causing flight delays and diversions for a time.
The cargo of live rats and mice is a regular arrival every Thursday at the airport, a source said.
The aircraft – which had two German crew members on board – landed as normal at Dublin Airport but experienced problems with its front nosewheel which led to it collapsing on the main runway.
Emergency services were on the scene in an attempt to assist the aircraft, causing a series of delays and flight diversions.
The airport is now operating as normal.

@alan collins: sadly they did…the state of movie and TV entertainment has been abysmal for a long time now…with streaming sites just churning out as much as they can has both stretched the quality writers on different projects but also lessened the quality by quantity of writers now…when the likes of Netflix and Disney will buy any mediocre script just to have content to push out…really it’s almost like the model youtube content creators use but theirs is much smaller operations and around 10 mins for their daily videos…
The entertainment industry has become the grind of quantity instead of taking the time to produce quality…its over saturation of the market with mediocre writers who have no business well being in the business lol

@Dave Huston: Societies tend to become more progressive over time. Hollywood is just a mirror of this natural process. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed and manipulated by all of the “wokeness”, then prepare to spend the rest of your life being angry and bitter. Swim against the tide all you want. The old-fashioned, Catholic Ireland is gone, and it’s never coming back.

Won’t need writers anymore,with the advent of AI,same goes for journalists! I for one would like to welcome our new AI overlords..
If I remember right the last writers strike was back in 2007 and it ushered in a wave of absolutely sh!te reality TV shows while other shows, like Heroes, tried to continue but just melted into putrid piles of dross. Great.

How about this plot… faced with an ongoing writers strike, Hollywood and Netflix decide to ask Chatgpt to help by coming up with plots, scripts and shooting schedules, with hilarious results, the output from chatgpt is so much better, delivered faster in minutes rather than months and at a much lower cost, prompting the industry to tell the writers not to come back!
